Details

Domain

Specify a unique domain ID for the domain between 5001 and 32767.

Network

Specify the network with which this domain is associated.

Note: Any network/data-center pair can only have one redundancy set.

Role

Specify the role this domain plays in the redundant set. Options include:

  • Active — Services on this domain are the active production services where the SCADA system is running and polling storing, and retrieving real-time and measurement data. There must be at least one active domain in the redundancy definition.
  • Local Standby — Services on this domain are replicating from the active production services; a local data center that is currently ready to perform the role of running the SCADA system in the event of a need to failover a data center.
  • Data-Center Standby — Services on this domain are replicated to a separate, geographically remote data center in a standby mode; a remote data center that is currently ready to perform the role of running the SCADA system in the event of a need to failover a data center. The domain with the Data-Center Standby role must be on an active network.

Failover trigger

Select a failover trigger for the selected domain. Trigger conditions are configured on the Auto-failover page.

Failover will be automatically initiated on the local standby or data-center standby domain whenever the conditions specified in the failover trigger are met.

Note: The Failover trigger is disabled for an active domain.
